It is quite easy to install the plugin like any normal plugins. Its a simple one-click installation. One of the beautiful features of this plugin is it creates .htaccess and other configuration files of its own, renames old files and hides them.
There is no need to have FTP access to change all these configuration files. Moreover backup facility of these files is also provided. Should you encounter any error then you can easily restore these files from the backup created.

Once you are done with installing and configuring ensure that all the status messages in the ‘Security status’ Tab turned green. This tells that you have configured BPS plugin properly and your site is secured.
For some hosts like one.com they will get internal server error. No need to worry. Just open .htaccess file from your cpanel or through ftp and just add # before the line that says 501 internal server error. Then, again continue configuring, everything will be fine. This occurs only with few hosts not every host. Incase you face any difficulty do let me know.
